Terms of service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Savvy app ("the App"), published by Jeremy Smith ("the Publisher"). By downloading, installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
1. Purpose
Savvy is a personal-finance mobile app that lets a user record income, fixed expenses, accounts and one-off transactions, and view their real available balance at any given time. The App operates entirely locally on the user's device.
2. Conditions of use
Use of the App requires a compatible device (iPhone on iOS 17 or above), activation of certain native iOS features (local notifications, App Intent, Shortcuts), and acceptance of Apple's App Store terms.
3. Business model — Freemium
The App is offered under a freemium model:
- Free tier: the full main loop (transaction entry, monthly cycle, carry-over, light history, budget caps on the default categories) is available with no time or volume limit.
- Savvy Premium: unlocks advanced category customization (renaming, adding, removing, creating custom hierarchies). Purchase is handled through Apple's App Store payment system and is refundable per Apple's policies.
4. Data and liability
All user-entered data is stored locally on the user's device. The Publisher has no technical means to access, retrieve or restore these records. Loss, deletion or corruption of the local database (manual erasure, uninstallation, hardware failure, loss of an un-backed-up device) cannot give rise to any compensation.
The App is not a substitute for your bank's official statements. Displayed balances are computed solely from user-entered data and reflect a forecast view, not an official accounting state. The Publisher cannot be held liable for financial decisions made solely on the basis of the App's outputs.
5. Intellectual property
The App, its interface, code, logos, name, visual identity, and all content accessible from savvy-app.fr are the exclusive property of the Publisher and protected by French and international intellectual-property law. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.
6. Availability and changes
The Publisher endeavors to keep the App available and up to date but cannot guarantee absolute availability, especially in the event of an iOS update introducing incompatibilities. The Publisher reserves the right to modify, suspend or remove any feature, subject to reasonable notice to users.
7. Termination
Users may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Any Premium subscription is cancelled through the App Store's subscription management settings, in accordance with Apple's terms.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts, unless mandatory legal provisions provide otherwise.
9. Contact
